The “Family Suite”
Ideal for families or friends, the Family Suite measures approximately 750 sq. ft. (or 70m²). It can sleep 4 very comfortably in the former stables attached to the coaching house. As well as being bright, airy & with its own front door, the Family Suite also gives you that extra bit of privacy that some may look for.
The Suite has 2 bedrooms – a double (with a 5’3″ by 6’6″ bed) and a twin (with two 3′ beds). For your comfort, a nice duvet with Seersucker cotton linen will give you comfortable nights. Two pillows per person (one square & one rectangular) will keep you nice and snug.
There is a spacious double-aspect east & south facing living area as well as a large bathroom with shower & dressing area. There is direct outside access onto your own terrace over-looking the swimming pool.
Shower gel, shampoo and a locally made artisanal soap are provided for your use. You will also find, with our compliments, a bottle of water per person. The Family Suite will be serviced on a daily basis.
Extras for Family Suite….
The double aspect living room has two comfortable sofas. A fine spot to relax with a good book, watch TV (a good way for you to brush up on your French!) or enjoy a film.
Finally, when the weather allows it and if you wish, you have your own south-facing terrace in front of the Family Suite. Out there, you can enjoy sitting on the lounge furniture, over-looking the swimming pool, shaded by our 130 year-old grapevine.
Although toweling and bed linen is provided, we recommend you bring your own pool towels if you fancy a dip in the pool during the warmer months!
The Family Suite is on the Ground Floor. However, there are half a dozen steps or so on the terrace to reach the door. Our guestrooms and the Chelsea Suite, however, are in the main house, on the first floor, up a flight of 14 stairs.
Please note that there are no cooking facilities or fridge available in the Suite.
None of our rooms have tea or coffee making facilities. However, we do have a menu of hot drinks & a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout your stay. Please just let us know what you’d like and when!
Breakfast time for the Family Suite
Being a Bed & Breakfast, we want to make sure your day starts well. Each morning, you’ll find us ready to serve you tea, coffee & hot chocolate as well as a variety of fruit juices.
Not to mention homemade jams, cheese & ham to accompany your bread basket. Something sweet will change on a daily basis; you’ll find some brioche, freshly made crepes, pastries or a homemade cake during your stay.
And to really make sure you have the energy for that canoe trip down the Dordogne there is a selection of cereals and homemade yoghurt on offer too!
More than 4 people?
If necessary, we can also add a baby-crib/cot or a child’s rollaway/put-you-up bed. Please bear in mind that there is only one shower room and one WC. Once past the gate, all terraces, pool areas and interiors are strictly non-smoking. However, we have set up a « Smoker’s Corner » with chairs and table in the courtyard.
In front of the house is the swimming pool which measures 8m x 4m, with a depth of 1.20m. Open from May to September it is, however, unheated.
