Tastes of the Perigord at our Table d’Hotes – a convivial evening meal
And after a busy day’s sight-seeing, why not have your evening meal with us? You can join us for a delicious 4-course dinner served ‘Table d’Hôtes’ style – respecting the advice & laws regarding social distancing. This might be in the dining room but we’ll always try and serve it al fresco on the terrace over-looking the swimming pool. Weather permitting!
… Imagine sitting on the century-old vine-shaded terrace, the early evening sun glinting off the pool, sipping some Pecharment red wine, an iced Pastis, or a glass of Philippe’s home-made ‘vin de noix‘. On the other hand, during the cooler months, relax on our comfortable seating in our comfortable lounge around the open fireplace.
To start with …
We’ll begin with a home-made complimentary aperitif. This ice-breaker will be a pleasant way to start your Table d’Hôtes experience. A way to spend your evening with us & your fellow guests all around the same table.
Moving to the table and it will be time to enjoy some homemade starters such as Terrine with Onion Marmalade or a local Cabecou Goat’s Cheese & Spinach tart.
For main course you might be sitting down to a Gratin de Confit de Canard aux Marrons (a duck and potato dish with chestnuts), Whiskey-flamed chicken en Croûte, Duck Confit with Pommes Sarladaises (garlic and parsley) or Périgordine Lasagne to name but a few.
To round off your meal…
…. a cheese selection and dessert! Do try to keep a bit of room for some very local Walnut Cake, an Apple Clafoutis, homemade ‘Parfait’ ice-cream or Bread and Butter Pudding à la Brioche.
Then to accompany your meal you can choose one of our personally selected Bergerac wines. As well as wines, beers and spirits we have a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
About the evening meal
We serve most nights of the week, but not all. If you are interested in having dinner here on the night you arrive, do let us know in advance. That way we can tell you whether or not we plan to serve dinner that particular night. For the other nights of your stay, we take bookings up until the end of breakfast each day.
We hope we have tempted you as we would like you to enjoy dinner here. However do let us know if you are vegetarian or if you have any major food allergies. Likewise for any particular food dislikes that spring to mind. We like to be able to adapt to most things if we know ahead of time.
